"Whispers in the Dust: A Terrifying Tale of Housekeeping in 210
Shelly and Thomas were a married couple who worked as housekeepers for T&S Janitorial, a cleaning company that serviced various hotels and motels in San Antonio, TX. They had been working for the company for over a year, and they enjoyed their job, as it gave them a steady income and flexible hours.
One night, they were assigned to clean a room at the Motel 6 on the outskirts of the city. They arrived at the motel around 10 p.m., and checked in with the receptionist, who gave them the key to room 13. They took their cleaning supplies and headed to the room, which was located at the end of a dark and dingy corridor.
They opened the door and entered the room, which looked like a typical motel room, with a bed, a TV, a dresser, and a bathroom. They noticed that the room was in a mess, with clothes, trash, and blood stains scattered around. They also smelled a foul odor, which seemed to come from the bathroom.
"Wow, this is disgusting," Shelly said, wrinkling her nose. "Who stayed here?"
"I don't know, but they sure left a mess," Thomas said, shaking his head. "Let's get this over with quickly."
They decided to split up the tasks, with Shelly taking care of the bed and the dresser, and Thomas taking care of the TV and the bathroom. They put on their gloves and masks, and started to clean.
Shelly stripped the bed sheets and threw them into a trash bag. She then lifted the mattress to check for any hidden items or stains. To her horror, she found a severed human head under the mattress, with its eyes wide open and its mouth twisted in a scream.
Shelly screamed and dropped the mattress, which landed on the head with a thud. She backed away from the bed, trembling and hyperventilating.
"Thomas! Thomas! Help me!" she shouted.
Thomas heard her scream and ran out of the bathroom, where he had been scrubbing the sink. He saw her standing by the bed, pale and terrified.
"Shelly, what's wrong?" he asked, rushing to her side.
"Look, look under the mattress!" she cried, pointing at the bed.
Thomas looked at the bed and saw a pool of blood seeping from under the mattress. He lifted the mattress and saw the head, which looked like it had been cut off with a saw. He gasped and dropped the mattress, feeling a surge of nausea.
"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God," he muttered, clutching his stomach.
They both stared at the bed, frozen in shock and fear. They then heard a loud knock on the door, followed by a voice.
"Housekeeping! I'm here to check on your work!"
They recognized the voice as their boss, Mr. Smith, who was the owner of T&S Janitorial. He often came to inspect their work and make sure they followed the company's standards.
They panicked and looked at each other, wondering what to do. They knew they had to get out of there, but they also knew they couldn't leave the room like that, or they would be blamed for the murder.
"Quick, let's hide the head in the closet!" Thomas whispered, grabbing the trash bag.
"No, no, we can't do that, he'll find it!" Shelly whispered back, grabbing his arm.
"Then what do you suggest? We can't just leave it here!"
They heard another knock on the door, louder and more impatient.
"Housekeeping! Open the door, now!"
They felt a surge of adrenaline and decided to act. They lifted the mattress and threw the head into the trash bag, along with the bloody sheets. They then tied the bag and dragged it to the closet, hoping it wouldn't leak. They closed the closet door and ran to the main door, hoping to escape.
They opened the door and saw Mr. Smith standing outside, holding a clipboard and a pen. He was a tall and burly man, with a bald head and a bushy beard. He wore a black suit and a red tie, and had a stern expression on his face.
"Hello, Shelly and Thomas," he said, smiling coldly. "I'm glad you're done with the room. I've been waiting for you."
He pushed past them and entered the room, locking the door behind him. He then turned to face them, holding a saw in his hand.
"Did you enjoy your work?" he asked, raising the saw. "Did you find anything interesting?"
Shelly and Thomas realized too late that they had walked into a trap. They screamed as Mr. Smith lunged at them, swinging the saw.
The End
